WCC Receives Overwhelming Response from International Cricket Clubs; Applications Open Till End of June

New Delhi, India – The World Club Championship (WCC) is witnessing a phenomenal response from the global cricketing community as applications pour in from club teams across the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. This surge in interest marks a promising start to the inaugural edition of the WCC, scheduled to be held in Delhi-NCR from October 4–12, 2025.


With its unique format, international flair, and focus on inclusivity — including mixed-gender participation — WCC has captured the imagination of club cricketers worldwide. The tournament promises top-notch 40-over white-ball matches under lights, luxury hospitality, daily awards, and professional infrastructure including certified umpires, team buses, and indoor practice nets.


“The response from international clubs has exceeded our expectations,” said a WCC spokesperson. “We are thrilled to see such excitement from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and are confident this tournament will set a new benchmark for club cricket globally.”


In response to the high demand and to accommodate more teams for consideration, WCC has extended the application deadline till June 30, 2025. Clubs interested in participating are encouraged to apply early, as final selections will be made based on team credentials, past performances, and diversity.
